We have recently been providing Health and Safety Consultancy for a new Channel Five series called Operation Homefront
The TV series involves a Former Special Forces soldier Kevin Godlington, now a successful businessman, who leads a team of ex-military personnel on a series of construction/makeover projects. The team will use the individual and collective skills learned in the forces, and call upon both the local population and current serving personnel in the region, to help deserving causes who have been struggling to carry out necessary works themselves. The aim is provide real benefit to the local community in each case, demonstrate what an unsung, super-skilled military Britain has – and also prove how much those leaving the services can potentially offer to the country as a whole.
Guiding you through the action and getting all the big, unfolding stories, will be Kate Silverton – subject to confirmation of her schedule, currently under discussion.
Provided a range of Risk Assessments and Method Statements and monitored the works ensuring all parties carried out the work safely – of which were a mix of ex-military personnel and volunteers from the local community where each shoot took place – Glasgow, Newcastle, Oxford, Eastleigh, Buckinghamshire and Lancashire.
The series is due to be screened early 2013
