A Fire Warden or Fire Marshall as thy are sometimes known has to perform specific duties in the workplace in order to ensure that to the best of their ability, if a fire breaks out that everyone can leave the building safely, quickly and calmly as possible.

Fire safety is based on the Regulatory Reform Fire Safety Order 2005 of which is centred on undertaking a fire risk assessment for premises.

This piece of regulation aims to reduce the risks and prevent fires from breaking out, it also includes duties such as maintaining constant maintenance of fire safety equipment.
