During May the Health and Safety Expo is heading to Birmingham NEC.  The health and Safety Executive plan to be in full attendance with Judith Hackitt, the HSE Chair opening the event on May 17th at the LG Arena. This is Europe’s largest event of this kind and is a must attend event for all people involved in the industry.

At the event there will be lots of opportunities to discover the latest technology and innovations that can be used to ensure that all the health and safety legislations and laws are fully abided by and understood. This is an ideal way to network and discover new health and safety consultants who provide these priceless services to companies all over the United Kingdom.

Exhibitions and Informative Talks

During the three day event there will be talks held by some of the leading providers of health and safety services.  Their exhibitions will give you the opportunity to see some of the latest ways in which health and safety services can be improved.

All of the newest changes in the regulations and laws will be covered to help the health and safety services stay completely up to date in order to provide excellent and complete services to their customers.  There are lots of offers to take advantage of; including the Training Day offers which are designed to help the exhibitors get the most out of their attendance.

Looking to Out Perform Last Year’s Success

At last year’s health and safety expo there were more than sixteen thousand visitors in attendance.  The 2011 event is hoping to exceed these numbers and there will be even more exhibitions to take full advantage of. The Health and Safety Executive will be hosting several talks giving people in the industry the chance to network and expand their businesses.

Working At Height A Key Area of Concern

The health and safety Expo kicks off on the 17 May and runs until 19 May.  Some of the areas which will be covered include the regulations and laws surrounding working at height.  This is one of the areas which causes the most deaths in construction, and there is still a lot of work to be done to drive home the importance of ensure workers remain safe as they carry out their work.

There will be a knowledge base at the expo where you can learn more about the major concerns surrounding the best safety practices surrounding areas such as:

  • Scaffolding
  • Mobile elevation work platforms
  • Mobile access towers
  • Ladder News

There will be full demonstrations where the latest systems and innovations will be put on show.  The aim of the event is to try and drive home how important this part of the health and safety services is.  It is hopeful that eventually there will be no more deaths or injuries caused from falls from height.
